We’re a few short days away from the 33rd annual Veterans For Peace Convention, from Aug 22-26 in St. Paul, Minnesota. This year’s theme “Reclaiming Armistice Day” alludes to 2018 as the 100 year anniversary of the armistice which ended the First World War and was (until 1954) observed in the U.S. as a day of peace and solemn remembrance. This year looks to be an exciting gathering full of a wide range of workshops, provocative discussions, vibrant community and music. Further details can be found at: https://www.veteransforpeace.org/
Thanks to the hardworking folks from our national headquarters and to VFP Twin Cities Chapter 27 for hosting this shindig. I am very much looking forward to reuniting with my fellow members from across America and around the world, then reporting back to our Fresno partners in anticipation of Armistice Day on Nov 11th and beyond, while we continue our work of exposing the true costs of war.
